The Technical Center for Career Development (TCCD) was established as a special unit in the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University in accordance with decree number 64 issued on August 14th,1995 by the Head of the Supreme council of the Supreme Council of Universities-Egypt.
The center aims to develop students’ skills by organizing many activities and events and also aims to provide training opportunities for students and job opportunities for graduates in all engineering disciplines. This is to be achieved through cooperation with companies, industry and agencies interested in offering support and sponsorship for graduates and students.

Main Objectives :

TCCD aims to
– provide internships and career opportunities for qualified undergraduates and graduates in all engineering disciplines.
– assist in establishing a good link between senior students and alumni, on one hand, and industry, on the other hand, by organizing miscellaneous training courses, workshops, job fairs, research days, competitions, exhibitions, recruitment events, seminars and lectures.
– help students and graduates to be able to discover and develop career paths that enhance their lives and communities.

Main Activities :

– Organizing annual fairs for employment and training. The fair offers miscellaneous services to many
engineers; senior undergraduates and fresh graduates.
– Organizing undergraduate engineering Mathematics research forums where students practice their soft skills and technical skills and present the outcomes of their research projects.
– Organizing with the Faculty administration a graduation projects day.
– Organizing trips for senior students to reputable companies.
– Providing the opportunities for hand-on projects and activities that help the needy people in our society.
– Organizing training courses, seminars and workshops for students and fresh graduates to develop their soft skills and increase their knowledge in business, marketing, management and entrepreneurship.

– Inviting companies and industries to support graduation projects and to offer summer internships and
training opportunities for the benefit of the students as well as the offering entities
– Frequently advertising and/or managing applications to training and job opportunities organizing
recruitment events for companies, which seek to hire a large number of engineers
– Establishing a good link between the industry (local and international companies) and students in different departments.
– Organizing summer training in Experimental Physics in Physics labs.
– Organizing many online activities; job fair, sessions and virtual tours.
– Organizing orientation days for freshman students.
